Since the onset of the current economic downturn, the IRC has doubled the efforts to find employment for refugees. While the efforts have resulted in several refugees being placed in employment, there are still some refugees who still remain unemployed. The IRC is committed to ensuring that none of these individuals become homeless. Please help us meet this commitment by attending the scheduled screening of the film Betrayal at the Flicks Theatre on June 18th. Funds raised through the screening of the film will go towards this housing need.

Filmed over 23 years, NERAKHOON (The Betrayal) is an epic story of a family's journey from war-torn Laos to the mean streets of New York. Thavisouk Phrasavath narrates this deeply personal and poetic memoir of himself as a young man struggling to survive war and life as an immigrant, revealing the hidden, human face of war's "collateral damage. The film is a testament to the resilient bonds of family and an astonishing tale of survival.
