
Reading Together: A Story Time for New Americans and English Language Learners
New Americans and English Language Learners can learn English through a new special story time presented by Boise Public Library at the Library! at Hillcrest branch. The story times will be offered on Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. from September 19-October 24.
During the storry time participants will enjoy: reading picture books, counting, learning new words, singing and dancing to music, and learning with toys. All programs will be in simple English. The story times are for preschool age children for whom English is a second language and their parents or caregivers. The story times will be designed specifically to meet the needs of this growing population and will provide participants with opportunities to begin to develop and improve English language skills.
