November 14 - Handmade Books: Make Your Own from 10 am to 2 pm
If you have an interest in bookmaking, journaling, writing, scrap booking and paper making, please consider joining us for a fun and creative day using natural, hand made and reused materials. Jessye White, a local bookmaker, will be teaching two youth and one adult oriented workshops.
She has been creating beautiful books for many years and loves to share her talent and experience with others. Everyone will have a chance to craft a hand-made book to take home. We'll also be making paper and simple books with younger visitors. You’ll be amazed at what you can create!
Book-making classes for kids are offered from 10:15-11:15 and repeated from 12:45-1:45 p.m. The adult session meets from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
We ask that children and parents remain together while participating in our activities.
Our 2nd Saturday programs are always free and no registration is required. To get to the Foothills Learning Center, take 8th Street north through Boise's North End. From the end of the pavement go 1/3 mile farther. Questions... Please call 493-2530.
