Bhutan Bunnu Knitter - Ritu

Shannon Davis-Jones asked that we give an update of the sale from last week by the Bhutanese Knitters group.  Here's her report: 

                                         

Last Thursday, December 10, an IRC volunteer and North Junior High teacher, Jan Bastain, hosted a fundraiser featuring the "Bhutan Bunnu" knitted items and the Morley Nelson note cards.  Over 100 friends and supporters of the IRC came through, buying Christmas gifts.  The net result was over $3700 worth of knitted items sold, with that money going directly to the individual knitters, after taxes were taken out.  Over $400 of the cards were sold, the the proceeds going directly to the IRC. 

We all thank Jan and the Boise community for opening up their hearts to our clients.  Ritu, shown here was the biggest seller of the evening!
