BIG Bowling Night!

Thanks to volunteers Kristi Pardue and Julianne and Rebecca Russell!

See the cute summary below of their trip to the bowing alley with the Deh Mo family, written by 16 year old Rebecca.

We went to the Bowling Alley with So Reh, Deh Mo and Mu Mu. They were really excited at first when we were asking them if they wanted to go bowling - so it definitely seemed like a good plan. Getting shoes was a bit of an issue- but after a few pairs - we found the ones that would work. Then we started bowling. At first they had a bit of trouble throwing the ball. Deh Mo would cradle the ball and then fling it into the alley. So Reh got the hang of it pretty quickly and Mu Mu caught on really fast as well. Every time they would miss the alley and the ball would go into the gutter, they would turn around and laugh at and with each other. There was a lot of smiling and a lot of high fives! They seemed like any other family at the bowling alley having fun together, laughing at each other, teasing one another in a good-natured way. It was really fun and when we dropped them back at their home, it seemed like they had really enjoyed themselves. We plan to go back next Monday. We did go through some paperwork - and Krisit is going to call you at the IRC to discuss the things she thinks are of importance.

Isn't this great?  Thank you to Kristi, Julianne and Rebecca for taking the pictures and show us their good time!

Have pictures and stories to share?  That's what this blog is about!  Send your notes and pictures to Joanie and I'm happy to include them here.  We want to share in your fun times!

PS....this bowing alley is at the corner of Emerald and Orchard.  LOVE those palm trees!
