Here's a new ON-GOING opportunity for those volunteers with school-aged children!
We have recently formed a partnership with the Garden City Boys and Girls Club,
Located at: 610 E. 42nd Street
The cost is FREE and the process is this:
- Contact Joanie for a short application (just one per family)
- Attend an orientation session with one adult family member, any Wednesday at 5:30PM
- Start going with your family and have fun!
The website is a good source of information re: times, activities, etc, plus you can sign up to receive their newsletter.
We are also planning a Saturday in early May that will be Refugee Family Day at the club. You'll receive more information on that as plans continue.
