Fun Stuff for the Weekend of May 2

There were several things posted in the newspaper over the weekend that are little or no cost. It might be fun to check these out with your families:

• Family Pet Expo at Expo Idaho May 2-3 starting at 10AM Adults-$2 and kids under 12 are free! If you bring an ad from the newspaper, it's good for a $1 discount! There's a pet talent show on Saturday at 2pm and a best dressed pet contest on Sunday at 2pm.
• Sampler Expo at Expo Idaho May 2-3 starting at 10AM also. The prices are the same as above and the same thing re: the discount with an ad from the paper. It looks like a lot of fun stuff to see and I'm sure free samples of food as well!
• Neighborhood Block Party in Meridian on May 2, starting at 10AM. Admission is free and it benefits the Meridian Police K-9 Team. 4037 E. Clocktower Lane in Meridian. "Food sampling" is specifically stated.

Also....this looks fun for Saturday, May 9: Arch Re-Painting Party and Storytime. 11AM to 2PM at Cassia Park, 4600 W. Camas Steet, here in Boise. "Help repaint Michael Zapponi's archway. Volunteers will read new stories every half hour. Call 433-5677 for details."
